Dr. Hunter Johnson is a homegrown kid. Raised in Tulsa, he did not go far after high school, attending Oklahoma State University. Dr. Johnson, following in his Father’s footsteps, knew he wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but where had yet to be determined. A conversation with his Uncle, a Chiropractor in Canada gave him all the direction he would need. After graduating college, he attended chiropractic college at Cleveland University-Kansas City and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
While attending chiropractic college, Dr. Johnson completed hundreds of hours of seminars including courses in Motion Palpation Institute (MPI), Functional Dry Needling, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), McKenzie method (MDT), Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), FAKTR taping and soft tissue, and FAKTR therapeutic exercise. All of these courses increased his ability to diagnose and treat many different conditions with conservative, patient focused care. Dr. Johnson is certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Activator Technique, and Functional Dry Needling. All of his education and training is simply to provide each of his patients the best, evidence-based treatment possible. Dr. Johnson loves that Chiropractic is a hands on, team approach between the Doctor and the patient. They must work together in order to give the patient their best life full of movement. Dr. Johnson is excited to serve his patients and the Tulsa community by creating a movement of health in the patients lives and in turn, throughout the community.
Dr. J is married to his lovely wife, Diane. He considers his greatest achievement convincing her to marry him and move to Tulsa. She took a job at Oral Roberts University as the campus Dietician, and on the side, provides nutritional consults for the clinic as well. Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and going to the lake.
